Christmas

The window everyone walks past twice.

99 days away · videos not published yet

Status: planned build. No videos published yet. The projection work for Christmas is planned but not built, so there is nothing to download here today. Everything that decides whether it is worth doing — the setup, the gear, what the projection would look like — is below.

What we would build

Same season as Winter Lights, with the emphasis on the main event: a display that looks deliberate rather than decorated.

The projection

Festive window loops, light-curtain projections, an animated advent-style countdown, and coordinated indoor ambience.

What it takes

A projector, screen fabric or a sheer curtain, LED strings, and extension power.

Same kit, every holiday

The projector, screen and lighting do not change between holidays. Only the file you play does, and the file is the cheap part.

The gear this uses

The shared kit behind every build on this site, not a Christmas-specific list — the hardware is genuinely the same for each holiday. Every link is a real product.

Christmas: questions

Honest answers, including whether the videos exist yet.

Does this system do Christmas?

Yes. The window everyone walks past twice. Same season as Winter Lights, with the emphasis on the main event: a display that looks deliberate rather than decorated.

Are the Christmas projection videos published yet?

Not yet. The build for Christmas is planned but the videos are not published, and we would rather leave a real page here than pretend otherwise. Festive window loops, light-curtain projections, an animated advent-style countdown, and coordinated indoor ambience. The gear list below is live now, so you can be set up and ready before the season starts.

What would a Christmas projection need?

A projector, screen fabric or a sheer curtain, LED strings, and extension power. The same hardware covers every other holiday on the calendar, so nothing here is single-use.

Can I keep the same projector for other holidays?

Yes, and that is the point. The projector, screen surface, lighting and sound do not change between holidays — only the file you play does. Buy once, change the content.

How far ahead should I set up?

Christmas is 99 days away. Most people buy in the last two to three weeks, which is exactly when stock and shipping get tight. Setting up earlier also lets you test the image after dark well before the day.

Where do the videos come from?

Every loop is generated from a written prompt rather than bought as stock footage. Each build page publishes the exact prompt used, so you can generate your own version of any theme at a different scale, speed or colour.
